Carrier Landing Event
Objective: Successfully hook one of 3 wires within a 75 foot simulated carrier deck, while staying within the borders of the runway. The person with the most points after 3 heats wins the event.
Guidelines: The simulated carrier deck is 75 feet long and the runway’s width. 10 feet from the edge of the approach side of the deck is a wire worth 10 points, 10 feet from the first wire is worth 5 points, and 10 feet from the second wire is worth 1 point. Each pilot will have 3 attempts to successfully hook a wire within each heat. Ok, Maverick, if you do a flyby, that is considered one of your passes! If at any point the wheels touch down outside of the carrier deck borders it is considered a crash, and to simulate that you are in the drink, a bucket of ice water will be dumped on you ( kidding…maybe), and you will not be able to continue that heat and all accumulated points for that heat will be deducted.
Hardware for the tail hooks will be provided and you may install them any way you deem to be to your benefit. However, the tail hook itself CAN NOT be altered in any way as to give all pilots the same odds.

High Speed Pass Limbo
Objective: Successfully pass under the ribbon at full throttle without cutting the ribbon or making contact with the ground while under the ribbon. After each heat is completed and providing a successful pass, the ribbon will be lowered for the following heats until there is a sole winner.
Guidelines: Limbo obstacle will be located at mid runway. The starting height of the ribbon will be 10 feet and decrease in height after each successful heat. After take-off you are allowed 2 passes per heat in which to perform a successful pass under the ribbon, allowing one wave off for misalignment. Any contact with the ribbon or is a disqualifying factor for that heat. Lowest successful pass wins the event. In the event of a necessary

In the event of a necessary tie breaker, a successful, knife edge, inverted pass, or just plain awesomeness while passing wins the event!

Dog Fight Streamer Cut
Objective:  Up to 6 aircraft engaged in aerial dog fight to cut, or remove one another’s trailing streamer. The pilot who has the longest streamer left after combat wins the event.
Guidelines:   All planes in the air in short order to allow fair battery life, or fuel for all pilots. Once all planes are in the air and spaced out an announcement to commence combat will be made. Failure to engage, or purposely avoiding the area of combat is a disqualifying factor.  Mid- air collisions can, and may occur in this event and are acceptable ONLY if accidental. A malicious air to air collision is a disqualifier. In the event of a necessary tie breaker the pilots with the longest, even, streamer remaining, AND the pilot with the most ‘kills’ will be placed in a sudden death match.
